A Brushabe Zinc containing 96% in the dried coating.
Zinc Paste adheres well to all metals.
The coating will be touch dry in 60 minutes with no shrinking or
hair line cracking, finished colour a matt grey finish.
APPLICATIONS:
For coating larger metal areas Zinc Paste is far more suitable
than Zinc spray, however can still be applied to smaller parts
when repairing
weld, drilling, cutting marks on galvanised metal surfaces. Zinc
Sheen can be used as an alternative to Zinc
Paste/Spray
if a brighter finish is required.
Benefits:
Achievable coating thickness up to 150 microns in one
application.
Can be spray applied on large areas. Resistant to salt and
water.
Excellent electrical conductivity and can be spot
welded.
Long term corrosion protection.
Zinc Sheen 70-43
Zinc Spray 70-45
Metaflux Zinc coatings are simple in application, hake can well before and during use, and finger pressure is all
that is needed to produce a continuous protective spray.
Dependent on the reference it will give 90 or 93% zinc in the
dry film. The zinc purity is 99%.
Observe instructions on the product label. Do not purge the
valve when finished!
Metaflux zinc-rich sprays are equipped with a self-cleaning
valve! The mixing of the zinc-rich sprays' content is the key to
an even, good film quality: shake the can well before and during
application. Shake thoroughly until the mix-balls in the
can can be heard and then keep on shaking for another 30
seconds. Spray up to 10 seconds crosswise, then again shake can
shortly but briskly, spray another 10 seconds crosswise etc.
Also important are clean
work-surface (see below), temperature (ideally, can and
work-piece both at ambient temperature), humidity, etc.
Zinc Spray is suitable for painting over or can remain blank, the
shade of
70-45 Zinc spray is similar to a battleship grey
Application & preparation:
Zinc-rich sprays are mainly used for spot application on a
galvanized work-piece either passively (transport) or actively
damaged (sandblasted, cut, welded, drilled, filed).
Blank parts need no pre-treatment. Burn marks should be wire
brushed before coating with zinc-rich sprays.
The work-piece soiled by fat, grease, oil, silicone, etc. must
be cleaned with a suitable cleaner. Metaflux
70-15 Rapid Cleaner (Spray),
which leaves no residues. Zinc
Spray can be used as an alternative to Zinc Sheen if the
cosmetic appearance isn't a priority.
Benefits:
Zinc Spray dries
in 2 minutes approx
and is waterproof within 15 minutes
Resistant to salt and
Water.
Protects against various acids, lye solutions
and gases
Excellent electrical conductivity and can be
spot welded.
Long-term corrosion protection
Alu-Zinc 70-42
Metaflux
Alu-Zinc 70-42 Anti corrosion spray with high zinc content,
bright sheen finish, which is slightly brighter than Zinc
Sheen.
Applications:
Ideal for
repairing weld, drilling, cutting marks on bright galvanised
metal surfaces. Also available is Alu-Zinc Brushable 70-41, 1
litre, 5 litre.
Benefits:
Alu-Zinc is dry in approximately 2
minutes and is waterproof within 15 minutes.
Resistant to salt and water.
Protects against various acids, lye solutions and gases.
Excellent electrical conductivity and can be spot welded.
Long term corrosion protection.
Hyperflex 01-99
Metatec Hyperflex; a high temperature anti corrosion coating
which contains in excess of 90% zinc metal in the dry film.
Suitable for repairing damaged Galvanised surface prior to
Powder Coating.
Because Hyperflex is a high temperature Zinc coating it will not
react to high temperatures sustained during powder coating.
Application:
Suitable for fettling & repairing damaged galvanised coatings,
similar in appearance to bright galvanising, will withstand high
temperatures sustained in when powder coating.
Benefits:
Good match to bright Galvanised steel.
90% Plus Zinc metal in dry film.
Stable up to 380c
Economical in use.
Resistant to salt and
water.
Excellent electrical conductivity and can be spot
welded.
Long term corrosion protection.
